About us
My name is Cathy and, together with my husband Peter we run the Boule-in, a unique Suffolk based French decorative lifestyle company where we host 3 seasonal Fêtes a year from our courtyard, barn and garden in Bildeston, Suffolk. Our aim is to offer our customers a truly unique shopping experience where it’s possible to find beautiful French pieces for Interiors and Gardens to enhance their own Modern British Lifestyles.
We have a shared passion for all things French, embracing the entente cordiale by mixing the best of French style with English charm: we source all of our pieces in France together. The buying experience has always been at the heart of The Boule-in ethos, for both our customers as well as ourselves. My job is to spot unique stylish objets for the home whilst Peter has an eye as to what might fit in the lorry! Having spent years building up a rapport with our dealers, we consider them now not only as friends but appreciate their own years of experience dealing with French objet d’art: whenever possible we hope to pass on this knowledge and provenance to our own customers, making each piece that much more unique and personal.
Our Boule-in rule is simple: we buy what we love with a constant eye to functionality as well as beauty. With decorative trends in mind we nevertheless believe strongly that beautiful, authentic, design led pieces are timeless and can be enjoyed within a variety of decorative styles and homes. We love mixing antique, rustic and mid-century modern styles and hope like us, our customers will find it easy to buy what they love!
