19th Century Olive Pot

This wonderful Olive pot is also known as a quatre oreilles pot due to the hand crafted ‘ear’ shaped handles around the pot’s rim. It’s olive shaped form indicates that it would originally been used to store olives post harvest, as does it’s interior glaze. Both the interior and exterior of this pot shows signs of age which adds to the charm of the piece. Spectacular in any interior or garden setting. One ‘ear handle’ is missing.
