A stunning pair of French 19th Century carved gilt-wood armchairs with their original upholstery. Comfortable, stylish and sturdy, these bergere chairs have lived through 200 years of French history. The intricately carved and gilded wooden frames, whilst showing evidence of their long life, are in wonderful condition and enhanced by a black and cream floral patterned material - the rear panels have been recently reupholstered in a neutral colour. These fine chairs would enhance any setting and could be incorporated into many different decorative styles.
